Do you have “The 3 Ds”?


Sometimes we don't always have the motivation or inspiration when it comes to our goals, desired results and outcomes. When we set ambitious goals, our mettle will be tested by any number of outside influences. Because if it were easy, we'd all have done it already. But that's just not how things work. ️

This is where Desire, Dedication and Discipline come in. The three Ds. ️


  • Desire: Is what you’re doing attached to a goal or outcome? And how strong is your desire for that outcome? The stronger the desire, the easier it becomes to do what's required to reach your goals, results and outcomes. Having a strong, deeply seated "why" can make all the difference.

  • Dedication: When you have a Desire and the "why" fueling that desire is burning hot, Dedication becomes *nearly* automatic (more on that in a moment). Put another way, this is how committed you are to achieving what you desire. If your commitment level isn't high or is inconsistent, this might be an indicator to go back to Desire, check in and see if the goal is really something you want. Ensure the "why" is rock solid, and adjust accordingly.

  • Discipline: Simply put, this is you doing what you said you were going to do, even when you just don't feel like doing it. Dedication is *nearly* automatic... nearly, because somedays those outside influences are stronger than others, and we are all human. Whether it's your fitness, career/business/purpose, interpersonal relationships or any other aspect of life: Discipline is stronger than any inspirational or motivational meme, speech, video or words you'll consume, when you've dialed in Desire and Dedication. And if Decline is flailing, no worries! Check in with Desire and Dedication... and make any changes that support you winning and reaching those goals!
